Breakfast Buddy!

So as of this semester I have been having breakfast with a boy every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And by having breakfast with I mean that we sit 2-6 seats apart and never talk to each other!! I'm pretty sure he's never gonna read this so I'm good! Our first semester of college we had two classes together, and we had some laughs during class, he even introduced me to Fruit Ninjas! I'm not sure why we don't talk, I think it's just awkward because we never hung out outside of class, and looking at it from a world perspective we are just two students at the same college.

It really isn't a big thing, but its kinda become a joke between me and my friends that know about him that: "It's the 21st century, girls can start the conversations" but the one thing that I took away from the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" was that if he likes you he will make the effort, and if he makes no effort, then he's just not that into you. He's a pretty cute guy, I know nothing about him; I honestly can't remember his name because during my first semester he never actually introduced himself to me and I tried to figure it out by reading the roll sheet one day and I completely failed. I think it might start with a J, still not really sure.

If he is magically reading this,then you should e-mail me to let me know what on earth happened, because other than my complete awkwardness around boys, I have no idea what I did wrong. I sat in a math lab for three hours, even though I had already completed mine three weeks prior, helping you with trig, and I even offered to tutor you in chemistry, in case you were wondering I passed both classes with Bs. In general if anyone has met me and knows how I can fix my awkwardness then let me know, because I'm going to have to find a husband some day and I hope whomever he is, he better love the fact that I cannot carry small talk AT ALL, and that he embraces my awkwardness.

Even at work I fail at small talk. Plus when I'm checking out at a grocery store I just want them to swipe my items, so that I can swipe my card, so that I can get in and out as fast as possible. Even if the cashier wants to know my how my day is, I can hardly talk to the person. When I'm the cashier I say "Hi there doing alright today?" guess what I realllllly don't care what the answer is, once I had a customer tell me he was having an awful day and I said "Great!". Needless to say he decided to make a point that I was not listening to the customers, and he called me out in front of one of my managers. Then I ask you a question that I am required to ask by whatever retailer that I work for. I tell you that there is one more question to answer on the pin pad, because I know you didn't answer all 100 of the questions so that you could actually complete your purchase. Then I tell you to have a great night. I don't even say have a great day anymore, because I don't care how your day goes, because you just bought alcohol so I'm pretty sure your gonna have a great night.  Just being honest here....

So if anyone wants to be my breakfast buddy and have breakfast with me and actually TALK to me let me know. I'm in brough normally around 10 sometimes a little before and I always sit on the bar side by the dish return. Because I adore hearing the squeaking of the dish return and if you are talking louder than the squeaking I'm probably going to give you a look.  Hope everyone enjoys the Beyonce concert and awesome commercials, but sorry for that game that plays in-between them all, its so annoying right?

Sophomore year

HELLO world!! So I completely forgot that I even had a blog, so yeah it's been a really long time since I've posted. I think I really am going to try to stay with it this school year, because I'm taking it as training for this summer. What are you doing this summer Amy? Well, I am so glad you asked!!! because this summer I will be going to SCOTLAND for four straight weeks!!! What What!!! You heard right!! It is a four week Ecological Conservation Study in Edinburgh, Scotland from May 26- June 22.  I will be living it up studying nature, plants, trees, soil science, Scotland's traditions and heritage, sightseeing castles, lakes, mountains, libraries, museums, and anything else I can see!! Man Amy, that sounds amazing! I bet your going to have an amazing summer! Well guess what, I am!

I am now a sophomore/junior now. Its my fourth semester at the YOU of A, but I'm at half the hours that you need to graduate, but I'm still considered a sophomore because my minor requires me to use up all my electives, so I think I'll be graduating Spring 15 like everyone else.... Not super excited about that, I thought I could possibly graduate earlier, but with all the tests and studying I have to do before I get into Vet School I've just decided to go with the flow...  Be like a regular kid for a little while.

School has been going awesome! I've had all As, 4 Bs, and 1 C. (These were all taken at the U of A). Got me a pretty good GPA: 3.651. I've got some pretty great friends, no boyfriend (no potentials in the making, and quite frankly I'm sure people are still placing bets that I'm going to become a nun), got an apartment set up for when I come back from my study abroad, got me a new job, and life has been amazing!!

I would like to take a second to thank God for blessing me so much with great parents and an amazing big sister, who is getting married in August. I'm a bridesmaid!!!! I am going to be forced to wear pink, so watch out world, August 10th, I'm gonna be super awesome looking: a little less white from the sun and potentially a tanning bed, and in a pink dress, I'm probably gonna cry a little, and I will defiantly going to making one of the best speeches of my life!

I still only have one tattoo, Mr. Jesus Fish is doing awesome! In the future he may get some buddies, but at this point in time with me not knowing what my future holds I plan on keeping up a good appearance, so sadly I can't get a face tattoo, and we all know how much I wanted one of those! But really, I'm thinking next one on the wrist so I can cover it with a watch if I need to cover it for an occasion. It's gonna be awhile, so I've got all the time in the world to pick it.

Wrapping up the school year

So the whole blogging then never really took off. Guess I just had too much going on sometimes. I'm ending the year strong. I;m done with my first year of college May 11th and then I'm off for the summer!! Oh wait, JK, I'm taking some classes this summer as well. I also got a job for the summer so I'll be in Rogers working and doing school, and hopefully kayaking a little bit. Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas, Valentines Day, Spring Break, MLK Day, and whatever other holidays I missed. Hope everyone has a great summer and wish me good luck on my finals this semester!!!

Back to School

So the first week of the Spring semester has officially ended!!!!! I'm got a pretty good schedule this semester. Music Literature, English 2, Chemistry 2, History (American before 1877), Livestock Management and Meat Evaluation. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes don't start for me until 11:30 and Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30.

Music class is going to be a breeze, English is interesting because I am in a research project for my teacher (who is also a grad student) dealing with World of Warcraft. So YES, I now have a WoW account.... Chemistry is gonna be a hard class defiantly, but I made a B in Chemistry last semester so hopefully I'll get the same or better this semester. History I'm going to have to work at pretty hard, I am unintelligent at American History. If I hadn't been born in the USA I probably wouldn't be able to pass the knowledge test to become a citizen.... LME is going to be tough just because I've never dealt with large animals before, but I know I'll learn a lot.

Winter break was pretty good, Christmas was awesome with my parents and sister, and I even got a new car during the break. I am now the proud driver of a JEEP!!!!! Its hard getting use to driving it compared to all the little cars I've been driving, but I LOVE IT!!!!!

I should probably get back to doing homework.This semester I'm gonna try hard to post more, so this is me trying!! Toodles!

Finals Week

So, the end of my first semester is coming. Classes are done and finals are this week. Math Test on Monday and Tuesday. Chemistry on Wednesday. English on Friday. A lot of work as gone into this semester so hopefully everything pays off. I'll be home for an entire month for Christmas/Winter break which will be awesome!!!! Contact me if you want to meet up for food, a beverage, or just a conversation.

Camping

Last weekend I went camping with a few people from my floor. There were 3 girl freshmen, and 3 boy freshmen, our 2 RAs and their 1 friend... and  5 other people with us because we needed at least 1 full time employee from the school. So 14 of us hopped into 3 cars and drove to Steel Creek Campground.

We went into two different caves, Climbed up a riverbank where I almost fell to my death, walked through a thicket of thorns and a meadow of stickers. Lots of good times. :) Lets not forget where I slept... The boys decided to give us the leaky tent and not tell us, and ten minutes after us being in our tent it rained. So 5 girls and 4 boys slept in a 6 person waterproof tent. BGGBGBGB and a G laying at our feet it was pretty hilarious.

Plus if we add the two drunk ladies next to us yelling all night, waking up to find half a boy's body on your thigh and my neighbor squished up on the side of me, and the fact that we all barely know each other is pretty awesome.

It was a really awesome weekend and we had a lot of good laughs, and now my neighbor and I have even more inside jokes together. Ahhh, Good times as a College Freshman.

College Life

So its the start of October and I haven't posted in awhile. Dorm life has been going pretty good. On my section of the floor we have six rooms. The first room has two girls that are sorority girls I think, they have a life size cut out of Justin Bieber. I don't plan on making friends with them any time soon. They next room I've met both girls, but one of them is never here and the other likes to get it on. Behind door number three are two awesome girls. There are super funny and fun to be around. I live in the fourth room with my roommate. Room number five: one girl falls off her bed a lot, and the other I hardly ever see. The last room the girls are nice and friendly, but I haven't really befriended them.

Here is an overview of my last month or so. I passed a Chemistry test with D, a Trig test with a B, and I got an A on my first English Essay Exam. Made a D on my most recent Chemistry Exam and the first part of my Second Math test.

I've made some friends in my classes, and I seem to be getting better in Chemistry. The food is food, and as of last week I have lost five pounds since starting class at the U. In my English class we are reading a book called No Impact Man. I am enjoying the book, so much in fact that I have actually decided to make a little impact myself. Starting October 1st, which was yesterday, I will only be taking the stairs. No more elevator for me.... My first day on the experiment I walked up and down nine flights on stairs nine times. There are about 130 stairs from the ground floor to the ninth floor. I took that route at least six times because I was doing laundry. Thankfully my lovely neighbor rode down in the elevator with my laundry and brought it up, so I would not have to to literally drag up my laundry and myself up the ten flights of stairs.

Bikes, Blues, and Bar-B-Q was happening this week. Let me tell ya, when you live in fayetteville you could really care less. Fayetteville(ers) have do deal with the vrooming all day and night. Plus if a biker sees you on a scooter they hassle you, which I don't think is very nice...


On Friday night I went the a high school football game with my neighbor. You could see the whole city from the stadium. My high school could have eaten the High, Junior, and Elementary Schools in one bite. The game was good, it was nice to see a team with rushing yards in the plus. We had a lot of fun, and ever though her school lost it was nice to watch High Schoolers again, but nothing beats the HOGS!!!!!!! Saturday they had a rough start, but we pulled through and kick Texas A&M's butt 42-38.

College is good so far, and it is only getting better by the day. Except the homework, every week I get even more. :( Oh well, I love to learn so it's all good.
